About Intimate Venues for 10 Guests

Sometimes the best nights are the ones where everyone actually knows each other. In a city built for spectacle, there is real magic in booking a space that feels like it was made just for your crew. These eight venues are handpicked for groups of roughly 10 guests, the sweet spot where a gathering feels genuinely exclusive rather than just small. Whether you are after the ivy-draped romance of Saint's Ivy Room in the East Village, the blacklight art-world cool of Deluxx Fluxx near Union Square, or the rooftop skyline views at 230 Fifth, NYC in 2026 has intimate options that punch way above their size. What unites these spaces is the quality of attention a small group receives. At BeatBrush Studios in DUMBO, Brooklyn, your group of up to 10 can transform a creative studio steps from the Manhattan Bridge into a sound bath, a private dinner, or an acoustic set, with add-ons like a live event assistant or DJ decks available by the hour. Over in Midtown, T-Squared Social lets even a tight-knit group tap into golf simulators, darts, and the largest TV screen in NYC with a reserved zone that still feels personal. These are not afterthought back rooms, they are purpose-built experiences for people who want more than a table at a loud bar. From the brick-walled sophistication of Saint's Ivy Room, which seats 12 privately on 2nd Avenue, to the cozy Orange Section at Deluxx Fluxx fitting 12 guests inside a genuine art installation, this collection proves that going small does not mean going without. Each of these venues brings something distinct to the table, and on Litty you can browse, compare, and book the one that fits your group's vibe without the back-and-forth.

Expert Tip

It seats 12 guests privately with emerald banquettes, exposed brick, and chandeliers, and the French brasserie menu means you get a real dining experience rather than passed appetizers. Lock it in early, intimate private sections at full-service restaurants with this much atmosphere fill up fast, especially on Friday and Saturday nights.

Venue Selection Guide

Your Guide to Booking Intimate Venues for 10 Guests in NYC

Choosing the Right Space for Your Group

With just 10 guests, you have access to some genuinely special configurations that larger groups never get to experience. The Ivy Room at Saint Restaurant Bar and Speakeasy in the East Village fits exactly 12 guests privately, making it a near-perfect fit for a dinner party with that brick-walled brasserie charm. Understanding Minimum Spends and Budgeting

Minimum spends across these venues vary dramatically, so it pays to know your number before you fall in love with a space. BeatBrush Studios starts at just $39, and HQ Studio Space in Queens begins at $50, making both ideal if you are working with a tighter budget for 2026 gatherings. On the other end, Saint Restaurant Bar and Speakeasy carries a $666 minimum spend, which reflects the elevated food and cocktail experience and the exclusivity of a fully private room. Bird Dog in the West Village starts at $67.50 and offers curated menus and optional open-bar packages, giving you a refined experience without the steep entry point.

Timing and Availability Considerations

Small private sections at popular venues book up faster than you might expect, especially for Friday and Saturday evenings in neighborhoods like the East Village, West Village, and Midtown. If you are planning around a holiday or a milestone like a birthday or engagement in 2026, aim to book at least four to six weeks in advance. Venues like Deluxx Fluxx near Union Square, which has a dedicated Orange Section for 12 guests privately, are particularly in demand on weekends given the nightlife energy of the East Village and Webster Hall building. For more flexible timing, studio spaces like HQ in LIC and BeatBrush Studios in DUMBO tend to have more availability on weekday evenings and Sunday afternoons.

Questions to Ask Before You Book

Before confirming any reservation, ask whether the section you are booking is fully private or semi-private, since venues like T-Squared Social list some zones as semi-private, which means other guests may be nearby. Confirm whether food and beverage minimums include tax and gratuity, as this can significantly affect your total cost. If customization matters to your event, ask Deluxx Fluxx about their LED screen branding options or confirm with BeatBrush Studios which add-ons like a sound bath or DJ decks are available on your date. For outdoor spaces like the 230 Fifth Rooftop Bar, always ask about weather contingency plans since their Tables section for 10 is an outdoor rooftop experience.

Really nice layout with tons of really cool light fixtures on the ceiling and black lights. The drink were well prepared and served from a draft like system. They had several DJ’s playing including Matthew Law repping out of West Philly.
